Adkins on DrentheManager Nigel Adkins is delighted to have Royston Drenthe back available to him after a long spell out injured.
Drenthe started his first game since September as we beat Huddersfield 1-0 on Saturday, and he played a major role in setting up Billy Sharp's winning goal.
Adkins said, "He's an unbelievably talented player, and we know that.
"He's been out for 12 weeks and will only get better. We all want him on the pitch and contributing for the team. You've got to let me manage that and I'm doing that well, I believe.
"His attitude has been bang on, which is great. The physical data on the training ground also backs that up, which is great. We got 70 minutes out of him, which we're really pleased about."
The boss continues to wrestle with a number of injuries in his first team squad, but remains delighted with the players' application.
He said. "Everyone is working really hard.
"Every team I pick and every sub I make will get scrutinised, because we've got a good squad. Whoever plays, they'll be good players not in the 11, but you need that.
"We brought three young players with us on Saturday, Craig Tanner, Jake Taylor and Aaron Tshibola, because we've got a number of games ahead of us now. Every game will be taken differently, on its own merits, and we will try to win every one."
