'Jobi's been top drawer'

1 December 2013

Boss praises McAnuff

Jobi McAnuff came on to great effect in our 3-2 win at Forest on Friday night, and manager Nigel Adkins was very happy with the club captain's contribution.

Jobi came on at 2-2 just behind Pavel Pogrebnyak, and went on a couple of excellent runs, including one that earned a free kick for Jordan Obita's winning goal.

Then with Chris Gunter getting sent off he had to drop to left back, and filled in admirably to help us taken three very important points.

Adkins said, "Jobi came on and played a great role.

"It's been a shame for him, I've given Jordan the opportunity on the left and he's flourished there.

"When Jobi came on played in the number 10 and then at left back, he played where we needed him. He helped in a big way, playing left back was great testament to him, he did ever so well.

"I must say Jobi has been top drawer because it's been hard on him."

You can see how much the victory meant to McAnuff and all the players in our exclusive full time video from the City Ground on YouTube.
