Defender's sights now on a returnRoyals defender Sean Morrison says his time at Reading so far has been a 'massive achievement' as he signed a new three-and-a-half year deal at Madejski Stadium.
Morrison committed his future to the club on the same day as Jordan Obita - both players who have been on a fantastic journey with the Royals.
"It feels great to finally get it done and now I can concentrate on getting fit and getting back in the team," Morrison said.
"When I first came here it took about a year and a half to break into the first team. Just like Jordan, I had to go on loan and do my thing - so to finally be playing in the first team regularly is a massive achievement.
"Sometimes you need to take a step back to take two forward. Going on loan was massive for me and has helped me get to where I am today."
The Royals travel to Huddersfield on Saturday - a side that Morro had a very successful loan spell at in 2012. The defender is naturally disappointed to miss out on a return to the Yorkshire club, but is working hard to return to the side early next year.
"I am devastated not to be going back there to play at the John Smith's Stadium - I had a good six months there, gaining promotion at Wembley.
"I'm working hard every day and it's getting a little bit better every day. Hopefully if all goes well I'll be back around mid-January."
