Obita: Our aim is to win

Jordan previews Leicester trip

Jordan Obita says the Royals will not be daunted when they take on high-flying Leicester City away from home on Boxing Day.

The rising Academy star admits last weekend's defeat Wigan wasn't ideal, but has full faith that the side can put things right over the festive period.

"Obviously it wasn't a great result for us but the second half was much better than the first. We've just got to make sure we can do better next week," he said.

"We were much better on the attack in the second half - we were unlucky to miss a penalty, we got the goal back and thought we could get another one but we didn't end up getting the result we wanted.

"To be fair we should have won all of our home games really, but we haven't so we've just got to move on and hopefully move higher up the table as soon as we can."

The Foxes are just a point off top-spot after they won away at Queens Park Rangers last weekend - but Obita feels that the strength of our squad will help us over the next couple of weeks, starting at the King Power Stadium on Boxing Day.

"We want to go there and get a win," Jordan added. "We want to bounce back - that's our aim. They are doing well but we have a great squad and we're capable of going up there and winning.

"I don't think I've ever had a Christmas at home - so another one on the road is absolutely fine. This is a key time for us - not just for the starting 11 but for the whole squad."
