Blackman starts at Leicester

The Royals have made one change to the side that narrowly lost at home to Wigan before Christmas, ahead of this afternoon's Boxing Day clash with Leicester City.

Nick Blackman starts at the Walker's Stadium, while Billy Sharp drops to the substitute's bench. Pavel Pogrebnyak will lead the line.

Hal Robson-Kanu misses out on a place in the squad with a knee injury, while Jordan Obita is also absent with illness.

A number of other players have managed to overcome illness to take a place on the bench. 22-year-old midfielder Jake Taylor is drafted in meanwhile, named as one of Nigel Adkins' seven substitutes.

Reading: McCarthy, Gunter, Cummings, Gorkss, Pearce; Williams, Guthrie, McAnuff (c), Blackman, Drenthe, Pogrebnyak.
Subs: Federici, Kelly, Akpan, J Taylor, McCleary, Le Fondre, Sharp.

Leicester City: Schmeichel, Konchesky, De Laet, Morgan (c) Moore, James, Drinkwater, Knockaert, Dyer, Vardy, Nugent.
Subs: Logan, Hammond, Miquel, Wasilewski, King, Waghorn, Taylor-Fletcher
