19 February 2013

Royals stars a grateful bunch!

Royals stars took to social media to thank Reading fans for their terrific backing at Old Trafford on Monday evening.

Over 1,000 supporters traveled north to back the boys in their FA Cup Fifth Round tie – and will have left Manchester with their heads held high after matching their sides’ brave performance  with a superb vocal display of their own.

“Great support from the fans.. bit gutted we couldn't snatch something at the end, Feds was unreal!” tweeted Jem Karacan (@jemkaracan4).

Centre back Sean Morrison ‏(@seanmorrison_91) also passed on his gratitude – “Amazing playing at Old Trafford...Great effort from the boys! ... Thank you to the travelling fans making the trip up! Onto the next one!”.

Forward Noel Hunt suffered a nasty clash of heads with Nemanja Vidic early in the first half, but played on regardless and also echoed his teammates’ sentiments.

“Thanks for all the messages,” he told his @boyhunt account.

“Head is fine got 5 stitches after the 4 staples. Gutted about the result but thought we fought to the end! Urzzzz!”.
