Brian on Kebe, Ledge, McCarthy and Roberts

Manager Brian McDermott said in his Thursday morning press conference that he hopes to have Jimmy Kebe training in the run-up to Saturday's Barclays Premier League clash with Wigan.

The winger missed the FA Cup defeat at Manchester United because of a knock - while Mikele Leigertwood, who came off after an hour on Monday night, will be assessed closer to the game.

Brian also gave an update on the progression of goalkeeper Alex McCarthy and striker Jason Roberts.

"Mikele Leigertwood obviously had to come off during the game - we had to look after him," said McDermott. "We'll have to wait and see whether he's going to be fit for Saturday or not.

"We're hopeful that Jimmy Kebe will train. Jason Roberts is not available and Alex McCarthy is not available yet - but he's getting better all the time."
