Cech and Luiz miss out

Chelsea will be without defender David Luiz and first-choice goalkeeper Petr Cech for Wednesday night's Premier League clash at Madejski Stadium.

Blues manager Rafael Benitez confirmed that Luiz (ankle) and Cech (calf) are not yet fit to return, so John Terry and Gary Cahill will likely be the central defensive partnership.

Ross Turnbull will continue in goal for Chelsea, having played in the Blues' FA Cup fourth round draw at Brentford.

John Obi Mikel and Victor Moses will also not feature as they are away on African Cup of Nations duty. Eden Hazard is suspended after his red card at Swansea.

Brian McDermott will wait on the fitness of Noel Hunt who has picked up a knock. Otherwise, the Royals have no fresh injury concerns.

A full match preview will appear on tomorrow morning.
