Welsh under-21 international who can play in a number of positions - most often found on the wing or behind the striker.

Born in Ascot and a graduate of our Academy system, Jake was first awarded a squad number in December 2009, travelling with the first team to a number of games.

He was named on the bench in our final game of 2009/10, and he furthered his progress in the subsequent pre-season, impressing on a summer training camp in Slovenia.

Made his first team debut against Derby County at Madejski Stadium in May 2011 and continued to build his Football League experience as he began the following season on loan at Aldershot Town.

In the 2011/12 season he impressed again, this time on loan with League One outfit Exeter City.

Gained more important experience out on loan at League Two Cheltenham Town, where he scored against Wycombe Wanderers and also played against Everton in the FA Cup, before picking up more game time at League One Crawley Town.

Also featured for the under-21s during 2012/13, often captaining the side, and joined the Royals first team on their pre-season tour of Portugal in July 2013.

Featured for the first team in October 2013, coming on as a second half substitute in our Championship defeat away at Burnley.
