scored twice as Great Britain took gold at the World University Games in Kazan!
Our talented forward scored in the 81st and 87th minute as GB came from 1-0 and 2-1 down to emphatically beat Mexico 6-2. You can watch highlights of the final by clicking here.
Our top scorer 2012/13 took her excellent club form onto the international stage this summer, scoring a total of six goals and also proving to be a valuable playmaker in the tournament, based in Russia.

GB reached the final with a deserved 1-0 semi-final victory over Brazil, in which Fran played the full match and came very close to getting herself on the scoresheet.
It was their second tournament win over the South Americans, having beaten Brazil 2-0 in the opening Group C game - when Kirby scored one and set up the other
to get GB off to a fantastic start in Kazan.
Fran played the full match again in their second group game, but GB were unlucky as Japan edged a 2-1 victory. But Great Britain secured group qualification in their final game against Estonia, with Kirby coming off the bench to score and secure the win.
Kirby was back in the starting line-up for their quarter-final with Ireland, and netted twice as GB romped to a convincing 8-0 victory - before playing a crucial part on Britain's semi-final and final matches.
