Royals midfielder Mikele Leigertwood is recovering from ankle surgery, and has not travelled to Portugal for our pre-season training camp.
Leigertwood went under the knife in May, and has been working hard on his recovery but remains out for a period of time.
The 30-year-old has played 103(+2) games for the Royals, including a 19-game unbeaten run in the Championship when he first joined the club, and then the goal that won us promotion in 2012.
Meanwhile, Hal Robson-Kanu is also recovering from injury and will not feature in the friendly games out in Portugal.
Jason Roberts is recovering from a hip operation but will not be fit for the start of the new season.
As always at this time of year there are knocks, bumps and bruises to contend with, but the squad will be in good shape come the start of the season on 3rd August.
