Manager on Rovers test

27 July 2013

Royals travel to Memorial Stadium

Nigel Adkins has confirmed he is looking to give a number of first team players 90 minutes in Sunday's clash with Bristol Rovers.

Reading travel to the Memorial Stadium for a 3pm kick off, and the manager confirmed that he will be treating the clash as a first team fixture.

"I wanted 90 minutes football out of the players today (against Swansea), and then we can get 90 minutes out of the players tomorrow in Bristol," said Adkins

"That was the whole idea, we said at the start of pre-season we wanted to arrive here and give everybody 90 minute game time. It's no reflection on what the team will be against Ipswich town, its just the physical element building up for everybody."
