Charity game at Madejski StadiumAlmost £50,000 was raised for charity on Saturday 8th of June, as Royals owner Anton Zingarevich took part in the Big Match!
Anton wasn't the only familiar face at a sunny Madejski Stadium as one-time Royal John Salako also lined up, alongside the likes of Ray Parlour, Darren Anderton, Des Walker, Neil Ruddock and Suzzanne Shaw for the star-studded charity football match. Zingarevich flew in specifically to take part in the match and was delighted to help a good cause.
Anton started on the left wing against Luther Blissett's side, before coming back off the bench in the second half to play both centre back and up front - where he put a shot just wide!
His side lost 4-2 on the day - but was a fantastic day all round in sunny Berkshire with a great deal of money raised for charity.
