'Top players coming in'

Williams excited by additions

New midfielder Danny Williams is very excited by the new additions to our squad this summer and what he described as 'top players' coming in.

Former England, Chelsea and Manchester City left back Wayne Bridge has agreed a move to Madejski Stadium, while ex-Real Madrid and Dutch international Royston Drenthe has also agreed to join our Royal evolution this summer.

And Williams himself agreed a four-year deal earlier this week to make it three very exciting additions to the squad.

He said, "Everyone saw the transfers the club have made, it's very exciting and we know we can do well.

"Royston Drenthe is a big player and it's not just him, you have Pogrebnyak, Wayne Bridge, these are all big names and we have a big chance if we act like a team.

"My goal is to help the team go up again, I think we are one of the favourites and we have to be concentrated in every game.

"I didn't have to think long about signing, I heard Reading want to go up as soon as possible," he told the Reading Chronicle.

"We have a lot of time in pre-season now, the coach can show us the style he wants to play, and if every player is open to that I think we will have a great team."
