Players vow to give everything for the cause
Noel Hunt and Stuart Taylor both spoke to Reading FC Player after Saturday’s defeat to Aston Villa – and vowed not to stop fighting to keep their club in the top flight.
"I've said already today - I've never rolled over before in my life so I'm not going to start now," said Noel.
"I'm a fighter. All the boys in that changing room are fighters and they're ready for this challenge. We will not give up - mark my words. We will give it our all and leave everything out there on that pitch. I love this club - and want us all to be together in the battle."
Taylor expressed his frustration at the result – but has warned against writing Reading off.
“On another day the first goal is deflected into my hands or over the crossbar, today it went in,” he said.
“It’s disappointing – but we’ll keep going and give absolutely everything to the cause. If we do that then we might just get the points we need. We got to Manchester United now and you never know. It’s a strange game and anything could happen.”
