Free to see u18s final

16 May 2013

Academy game confirmed

The Royals battle for the right to be named the best youth team in the country on Sunday, and entry to our Academy final is completely free.

We take on Fulham at Craven Cottage at 1pm this Sunday 19th May in the Barclays Under 18 Premier League final.

Entry is free for all fans, and there will also be a free programme on the day. Entry is into the Riverside Stand, which also hosts Craven Cottage's famous Michael Jackson statue. Parking close to the ground [near Stevenage Rd] is free on a Sunday so there are plenty of reasons to come along and watch our young stars.

We have now won 11 games in a row, seeing off Everton 4-0 in the semi-final on Wednesday evening in front of owner Anton Zingarevich and manager Nigel Adkins.

We won our league in the first half of the season to go into the prestigious Elite Group in the second half of the season, when we finished second to Fulham only on goal difference.

Striker Uche Ikpeazu has scored 28 goals in 27 games this season to be named scholar of the year, and there are a number of players in fantastic form at the moment. We played Fulham's youth side back in March and earned a 3-1 home win.

It should be a cracking afternoon in West London, with the game to be decided on the day and extra time & penalties if required. Entry is through turnstiles 38-41 of Hammersmith End with seating in the Riverside Stand, turnstiles open from 11.45am.

We will of course have live updates from West London on our Twitter feed @ReadingFC #BuildEvolveSucceed and full details here on the official website.
