Royals hold lap of appreciation
The Royals' players and staff showed their thanks to our supporters by holding a lap of appreciation after our final home game of the season against Manchester City.
Nigel Adkins' squad showed their gratitude to the fans by walking around the pitch, applauding them for their outstanding support this year - with attendance numbers having been at a record high this year.
The manager was certainly grateful for their backing, and after the game he told Reading FC Player: "It’s late, it’s a school night, people have got to commute and it’s been pouring down with rain.
"But there were 22 thousand plus tonight and a lot of them have stayed behind to applaud the players and the players have also showed their appreciation. There’s a great spirit and I’m really looking forward to the future with Reading."
The club would also like to echo those sentiments and say thank you to our supporters for their fantastic backing.
