Stat Attack: Fulham

6 May 2013

In-depth look

The Royals enjoyed a fantastic victory at Craven Cottage on Saturday – and the stats certainly make great reading for Reading supporters.

Out of the 20 Premier League teams in action over the weekend, only Arsenal and last year’s Champions Manchester City bettered the 357 completed passes notched up by Nigel Adkins’ side, with 154 of those coming in the final third of the pitch.

Jem Karacan and Danny Guthrie again admirably propped up the midfield – leading the individual passing stats, notching up 51 and 50 completed passes respectively - helping their side to enjoy 60% of the possession.

The win in West London was just the club’s ninth ever away Premier League win – it was the fourth time the Royals have notched four goals away from home in the top flight, though bizarrely only the second time that’s resulted in a victory!

Hal Robson-Kanu' brace took the Welshman to seven Premier League goals for the season - more than any other Reading midfielder has scored in a single top flight campaign.

Jem and Hal have now made a combined total of 240 league appearances for the Royals since graduating through the club's Academy.
