Guthrie: Mentality is keyIt's a case of finding that missing piece to the jigsaw, according to Royals midfielder Danny Guthrie - speaking ahead of Saturday's clash with Queens Park Rangers.
The Sky Sports cameras will descend on Madejski Stadium for a 12.15pm kick off tomorrow (Saturday) and Guthrie believes the game against our fellow promotion rivals could come at the right time, following last week's defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.
"It's time to move on and we want to put things right on Saturday," Danny told BBC Berkshire.
"It's a massive game and a big test for us. I'm delighted we're at home this week, we've been really good at Madejski Stadium this year.
"They've got a load of quality, they are a Premier League side to be honest. But we really fancy ourselves despite what happened last week. Maybe that's what we needed - a reminded of how tough it is and this game could come at a good time for us."
The former Newcastle man believes that Nigel Adkins' men have all the necessary components to be a real success this season - and also praised young Jordan Obita for impressively stepping up to the first team in recent weeks.
"Jordan fully deserves to be in the side. He's trained with a great intensity, and he's played well. There's no reason why he shouldn't be playing and he deserves to keep his place. It's great to see a young lad come in and he's really put a marker down.
"If you look at our side - we've got everything. We've got youth, experience, pace, power, goals. It's possibly a mentality thing that's missing. If you want to win any division you have to have a mentality and be solid. Maybe that's something we're still learning about at the minute.
"I don't think we've played against anyone that's been better than us - we just need to be a bit more ruthless and nastier in each box."
