Adkins on Jordan's work rate

Nigel Adkins has praised the work ethic of young star Jordan Obita, and has backed the midfielder to have a bright future in the game.

The 19-year-old has forced his way into the first team line up over the last few weeks, and Reading's boss revealed that the Academy product has earned the right to pull on the hoops.

"Every day on the training ground we use the GPS system so we can see from a physical point of view where we are. We examine Jordan's stats and he is right at the top every single day," said Adkins.

"He works so, so hard. He’s in the team in merit, and he’s only going to get better by playing the games. If he makes a mistake, I haven’t got a problem with that – that’s how he’s going to go and learn. He’s an exciting player who can go past the opposition, he can score goals and he can create goals. As long as he keeps working hard he’s got a bright future.
