Adkins delighted with duoManager Nigel Adkins had praise for goalscorer Garath McCleary and striker Pavel Pogrebnyak as the duo continue to put in excellent performances for the Royals.
But for Alex McCarthy's performance, both could well have been named Man of the Match on Saturday; McCleary scoring a brilliant goal and Pogrebnyak again working tirelessly and skilfully for the team.
26-year-old McCleary now has two goals in his last four games, and his long-range strike came as no surprise to the boss, who commented, "He's a talented, talented football player.
"We try to get him between the lines, Chris Gunter outside him with his athleticism, and Garath did exactly the same away to Norwich in the Premier League last year.
"He can do it off both feet, it was a great goal."
Pogrebnyak, who turned 30 last week, has been a revelation over the last couple of months, and Adkins explained, "He's been really good since the window shut.
"There was loads of speculation, he got his head round it and great credit to him.
"Every day on the training ground he works hard and again you've seen a performance by a hard-working player doing it for the team."
