Kelly takes the awardRoyals Academy player Liam Kelly took the award for our October Goal of the Month, after his remarkable half-way line effort.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the strike from the 17-year-old playmaker was voted by our supporters as the best Reading goal for the month - as he stunned everyone by lobbing the Swedish goalkeeper from around 50 yards out in an international game for his native Ireland U19s.
Out of the eight nominated goals, Kelly's effort received a whopping 43% of the votes while Pavel Pogrebnyak's smash against Doncaster got 16% and in third place was Hal Robson-Kanu with his long-range strike at Barnsley, taking 14% of the votes.
