Baird speaks ahead of QPRChris Baird is determined that the Royals maintain their unbeaten 2013/14 record at Madejski Stadium when we take on Queens Park Rangers this Saturday.
It's third verses fifth this Saturday, and the versatile midfielder is after a good response from the Royals following the disappointing defeat at Sheffield Wednesday last weekend.
"As players we know it wasn't good enough," said Baird. "The luck wasn't there for us and Sheffield seemed to have a lot where everything they hit seemed to go in. We were a bit unfortunate with the goals but there are no complaints, it still wasn't good enough.
"There were some individual mistakes but we're not going to stab each other in the back or anything like that, you just get on with it and work through it. It was just one of those days."
No side has got the better of Nigel Adkins' men in Berkshire after seven games, and it's a record Baird is keen to prolong as the Royals prepare for a tough game against Rangers.
"QPR have a big, big squad with a lot of quality and they're going well - but so are we," the Northern Ireland international added.
"We're unbeaten at home this season and we want to keep that record intact. We know it's going to be a tough game, but I'm sure they'll be thinking the same thing."
