Sheffield Wednesday: Sunderland forward Connor Wickham has joined the Owls on loan and will be eligible to face the Royals. Matty Fryatt will continue up front after extending his loan, but Jose Semedo (suspended) is out.

Reading: Wayne Bridge took part in training on Thursday, whilst Alex McCarthy is also making good progress as he fights off a knee injury. Nigel Adkins is waiting on the fitness of Billy Sharp, whilst the game will come too soon for Danny Williams and Royston Drenthe. Mikele Leigertwood, Jem Karacan and Jason Roberts are long term absentees.
