Sammi scores again

18 November 2013

Third in five games for Fridjonsson

Sammi Fridjonsson's first half goal wasn't enough for the Academy this past weekend, as West Ham ran out 3-1 winners in an open encounter at Hogwood Park.

Hammers winger Djair Parfitt-Williams, returning to their side from injury, gave the visitors a commanding lead early on with two good strikes but Icelandic international Fridjonsson hit back just before the break, his third goal in five games.

Both sides hit the bar in a frenetic second half, but Parfitt-Williams completed his hat-trick to seal all three points for the Irons, who are now on a eight-game unbeaten run.

Next up for David Dodds' men is a trip to Southampton next Saturday. Click here for fixtures and results.
