Coppell and Motson at RFPA Dinner

Reading icon Steve Coppell is set to star at a sporting dinner organised by the Reading FC Former Players’ Association, to raise money for the Berkshire MS Centre.

The charity was nominated following their support for much loved ex-Royals player, Chris Armstrong, who had to retire from the game at the age of 29 when he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Before moving back to his home City of Newcastle, he used the oxygen tank at the local MS Therapy Centre to aid his recovery.

The Dinner is not to be missed! BBC commentator John Motson will be attending and the evening will be compered by former Reading centre-back and Wales international Ady Williams. He will be joined by Patron of both the FPA and of the MS Therapy Centre, Sir John Madejski, as well as special guest Steve Coppell!

In addition, at least ten former Reading players will also be at the event, which is sure to be a big hit with Royals supporters. The event will take place at the Penta Hotel on Oxford Road, Reading, on Thursday 28th November. Tickets are priced at £45 each, which includes a three-course meal, and are available by contacting Richard Wickson on 07899 846 664 or by email at richard@readingfcformerplayers.co.uk.
