Jake returns to where it all beganRoyals and England under-19 defender Jake Cooper visited Forest School recently to help support their open day.
Jake is a former pupil of the school, and is a product of the successful partnership between the school and our Academy
He was on hand to sign items for prospective students who visited the Open Day, and enjoyed the opportunity to have a catch up with some of the teachers.
Jake was shown a football that was signed by the team that reached the National Schools Cup final, that was held at Old Trafford in 2011. He posed with the ball in one of the photos, as shown above.
Last week Cooper was away on international duty with England's under-19s and helped the Young Lions qualify to the Elite Round of the 2014 European Championship qualifiers.
He was an unused substitute in a 1-1 draw with Slovenia and a 1-0 win over Switzerland, but played in a 7-0 demolition of Andorra and comfortably kept a clean sheet at the back. For more on our youth and first team players' exploits on international duty, click here.
Jake uploaded this photo to Instagram from the Andorra game, as the players lined up ahead of the match. Our defender can be seen wearing the number 16 shirt.
