Matt's first team inspirationYoung Royals midfielder Matt Partridge believes that the opportunity to play first team football out on loan could prove to be valuable experience in his future career.
The Academy product recently joined Basingstoke Town on a short term deal, and has made a big impact with the Skrill South side - scoring twice in his first two games with the club.
"It's all a good learning experience going out on loan," said Partridge.
"I'm there until the 20th of October, so I'll finish that month and see where I am. It's been a good opportunity to play there and get some goals too, which has been nice. I've seen players in the past come back from loan moves and it clearly helps them - just look at the likes of Jordan (Obita) and Jake (Taylor) getting in and around the squad. They're getting involved in first team games and that's what we all want as a player."

A prolific early goalscoring record for the Dragons may have come as somewhat of a surprise to Royals supporters who knew Matt only as a centre half - but his early days at the Camrose have been spent flourishing in central midfield.
"I've always played in central midfield when I've been growing up. I've enjoyed having that chance again at Basingstoke - I look up to the likes of Danny Guthrie, playing deeper and getting hold of the ball - trying to play it about."
