Everton Academy 2-3 Royals AcademyEverton U18s 2 (Duffus 20, Connolly 24)
Reading U18s 3 (Stacey 55 & 65, Dickie 85)
Reading's under-18s came from two goals down to beat high-flying Everton 3-2 and record their fifth consecutive Barclays U18 Premier League victory on Saturday afternoon
Jack Stacey scored twice after the break before Rob Dickie bundled home an 85th minute winner, ending the Toffees' six-game winning sequence.
The hosts started strongly and took the lead after 20 minutes when Tyrone Duffus found the net from George Green's cross.
The advantage was doubled moments later when Everton full-back Callum Connolly struck past Royals goalkeeper Stuart Moore with a low drive.
But Reading were much improved after the break and capitalised on a slow start from the Toffees.
Versatile midfielder Jack Stacey, who has recently featured for our under-21s team, bagged a magnificent brace - striking five minutes before and after the hour mark to bring the Royals level.
Reading went in search of a winner and found it in the 85th minute. Tariqe Fosu's effort came back off the crossbar and, amid a goalmouth scramble, defender Rob Dickie got something on the ball to roll it over the line - sparking wild celebrations.
It's our Academy's fifth win in a row, and sets them up nicely for next week's game with Liverpool at Hogwood Park behind closed doors.
