Hector: "A quality player"

Plaudits for young Reading defender

Michael Hector has earned rave reviews for his performances on loan at Aberdeen, following their 1-0 win over Inverness this past weekend.

The 21-year-old Royals centre back has kept three clean sheets in his last three outings for the Dons, the latest coming in a hard-earned victory over Scottish Premier League leaders Inverness.

In addition to his defensive attributes Michael, who has also spent time out on loan at Cheltenham, Aldershot, Shrewsbury, Barnet and Dundalk, has also proved to be a threat at the other end - getting into dangerous areas from set plays and he very nearly bagged a goal last weekend.

The Reds' match report described Hector as a 'quality player' and states he could have easily been picked as the sponsors man of the match.

Young defender Matt Partridge made his debut for Basingstoke Town this past weekend, and got himself on the scoresheet. The former under-18s captain followed up a rebound to open the scoring in their entertaining 3-2 defeat at Bromley.

Meanwhile, young goalkeeper Dan Lincoln has moved on loan to Harrow Borough.
