Midfielder asks for more
Jem Karacan has urged the Royals to showcase their full ability as they take on a talented Brighton side on Sunday afternoon.
Nigel Adkins’ men picked up three points in their last Sky Bet Championship clash away to Yeovil, but their Turkish midfielder believes there is still plenty more to come.
“We all know we’ve got a massive amount of ability in the squad and I think it’s about time we started going out and proving it,” said Karacan.
“It’s been a little bit frustrating, we’ve had games where we feel we should have picked up more points. Bolton away was one of them, Watford at home we gave away a couple of late goals – so there’s just a bit of frustration on our part where we feel we could do better. We want to do that for the fans against Brighton on Sunday. Being here as long as I have, everyone is improving day in, day out; people are getting older, more experienced, learning the game more – and its coming to a time where it’s going to start showing on the pitch.”
Jem also told BBC Radio Berkshire that those supporters could be vital for the weekend’s televised clash with the Seagulls.
“The fans are always a massive part, the Watford game was like no other I’ve experienced since I've been at the club – they were brilliant and kept us going even though we gave away the late goals. We need everyone behind us, and hopefully they can come out and support us on Sunday and really push us on.”
