"Loving every minute"

20 September 2013

Defensive duo on Derby

Centre halves Alex Pearce and Sean Morrison are aiming to keep their run of clean sheets going, as they travel to Pride Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Royals have not conceded a goal in the Sky Bet Championship for 285 minutes, with three consecutive shutouts coming against Yeovil, Brighton and Blackpool.

Alex Pearce

"It's all about clean sheets for defenders. Of course it's not just defenders that keep them, it's the whole team - we just take special pride in that. We've got three on the trot now so that's really pleasing. We have a target of 21 for the season, but all we can focus on is the next one at Pride Park. They're very strong at home but we are full of confidence."

Sean Morrison

"It takes time to gel as centre halves, but it's getting better and better every week. I'm loving every minute with Pearcey, to come in this year and have a chance to form a partnership has been fantastic. Hopefully we can be the foundation to this team getting promotion this season. Myself, Pearcey and Kaspars have a lot to our game - we want to show what we can do on the ball and have aneffect on the game, building it up the pitch."
