Point for our Reggae Boyz

11 September 2013

Six Royals play for countries

Royals trio Jobi McAnuff, Shaun Cummings and Garath McCleary all played 90 minutes for Jamaica on Wednesday morning as they earned a 1-1 draw with Costa Rica.

It was a second appearance for Cummings after making his international debut, and the Reggae Boyz fell behind with 15 minutes to play in Kingston but Jermaine Anderson scored in injury time to secure a point.

Chris Gunter played 90 minutes and Hal Robson-Kanu returned from his one-match international suspension to feature for the final 15 minutes of Wales' World Cup qualifier with Serbia, but could not help the Dragons prevent a 3-0 defeat.

Kaspars Gorkss again captained his country but 10-man Latvia were narrowly defeated 1-0 by Euro 2004 Champions Greece.
