Exciting, in-form frontman with a keen eye for goal. Gozie was the star man in our first Barclays U21 game of the 2013/14 season, scoring twice in a 4-2 win over Newcastle United at Madejski Stadium - before grabbing another brace as the under-21s came from 2-1 down to beat Southampton 3-2. Another promising young striker who has come through the ranks at Reading, and has also recieved England youth call ups. Made his Barclays Premier League debut away for the Royals away at Sunderland in December 2012, three months before scoring an unbelievable solo goal at Madejski Stadium for the under-21s against Manchester City - watch below.
Welsh youth international who has been at Reading since has was eight years old. Leads by example with the captain's armband and is an ever-present for the under-21s. Versatile player who has previously featured for the first-team.
Young, vibrant midfielder who has impressed for our under-21s and out on loan in the Football League. Made his first team debut for the Royals in an FA Cup tie with Stevenage in January 2012.
Exciting England youth international who has come through our Academy ranks and played for the first team aged just 16. Scored on his debut on loan at Portsmouth, before playing for Oldham on loan where he scored against Everton in the FA Cup fifth round. Impressed during the Royals' 2013/14 pre-season trip to Portugal.
Position: Central Midfielder
A talented Academy product, who is a skilful and composed presence in the centre of midfield. Signed his first professional deal with the club in March 2011 at the age of 16, and has done for our under-21s over the past year or so. Scored in their recent 3-1 defeat to Everton.
Position: Left back
Promising young left back who has graduated at the Royals Academy and played for the Republic of Ireland at youth level. A regular in the under-18s during their successful 2012/13 campaign in which we reached the Barclays Premier League Academy final, Griffin showed great ability as a defender and has a fantastic attitude to match.
Position: Central Defender
Academy product and former under 18s captain who is comfortable as both a defender and midfielder. Has featured for the under-21s over the past year, and has put in a number of solid performances.
Tricky winger who has come through the successful Royals Academy. The pacy midfielder can play on either flank and has shown a keen eye for goal.
Sean is normally deployed at right back, proving to be very solid at the back but also capable of pushing forward. Made a handful of assists during the 2012/13 campaign, and scored two goals. Regularly plays for the Republic of Ireland U19s, and is now looking to progress with our under-21s side in 2013/14.
