Goals for Hector and Edwards

The Royals have a number of players out on loan at the moment, and we've got an update on their progress here.

Michael Hector:
Our young centre back [pictured] scored for Aberdeen on Tuesday night against Viking FK in a friendly cup game, and the Dons' website sang the praises of his finish, commenting, 'the big defender did fantastically well to make space for a shot before placing it beyond the keeper into the corner of the net.'

Michael has played 4(+1) competitive games for the Dons and has come in for plenty of praise, having played in midfield as well as at the back. He has now passed 75 career appearances for a number of loan clubs.

Ryan Edwards:
Our young Australian is back in his homeland for the season with Perth Glory, and scored in a pre-season friendly yesterday, with his goal being described as 'a fine solo effort.' Their website said he linked up well with the frontmen and he was unlucky not to score again when he hit the bar.

Mikkel Andersen:
Our goalkeeper has been named in the League's team of the week three times already this season, having played seven times for Randers in the Danish top flight, and twice in the Europa League. He has been regularly praised by the Danish press and has settled well back into regular first team football.

Daniel Carrico:
The Portuguese started well with a goal on debut for Sevilla a month ago, but unfortunately he has been injured since and that is his only appearance thus far.

Karl Sheppard:
22-year-old Karl is back at Shamrock Rovers and has five goals in 24(+8) appearances in 2013. He scored as his team won the Setanta Cup earlier in the year, and they are also through to the League Cup final, Karl on target in the semi-final against Sligo.

Nick Arnold:
Defender Nick Arnold has made 4(+1) appearances for Wycombe as they have made a solid start to the season in League Two. He has gained excellent experience in a lively derby with Oxford, coming up against ex-Royal Dave Kitson, while former Reading man Dean Morgan scored both for the Chairboys in a 2-2 draw.
