Debut win for Dickie

16 April 2014

Rob's victory for England

Academy defender Rob Dickie played 90 minutes on his debut for England under 18s, and helped them to a 2-1 win over Germany.

It was a great night for the young centre back, who was integral in the club's historic run to the FA Youth Cup semi-final this year.

He began the game at Rotherham's New York Stadium, and the visitors took a first half lead.

But second half subs Dean Ritterberg - with his first touch - and Harry Winks turned the game on its head for an excellent win in front of 9,119 fans.

It is a further step in what has been an excellent season for Dickie, who has been virtually ever-present for our under 18s, and everyone at the club would like to congratulate him for making his England debut.
