Morrison and Pearce ahead of Rovers clash
Centre back duo Sean Morrison and Alex Pearce are both prepared to fight tooth and nail for a play-off place this weekend, as the Royals travel to take on Doncaster Rovers.
Paul Dickov’s side currently sit just a point above the relegation zone in the Sky Bet Championship, leaving both sides with plenty to play for on Saturday afternoon.
Morrison: "We had to put things right after the game on Friday, we were very disappointed and said then we need to do something to put it right. The boys from the front led well against Middlesbrough, Hal and Alfie got in their faces and then when Pav came on he did the same, it made our job easier. Every game is a cup final and it is in our hands now. Teams are getting jittery, there is a lots of pressure on the games – it makes it just as hard. The teams down at the bottom, you can’t take anything for granted against. Saturday is a hard game, Doncaster need the points – it’s going to be a battle."
Pearce: "After Tuesday I was really, really pleased – I thought from minute one we were all over them, ratting them, the two front men were pushing up on them and that spread throughout the whole team. From our point of view at the back it was really pleasing to see the boys pushing on and taking the game to Middlesbrough. We have enough in that dressing room to do it and we want to go up there and get those three points on Saturday. I won't be easy, but I know we can do it."
