Injury Update

24 April 2014

Guthrie and Robson-Kanu set to miss out

Nigel Adkins has confirmed that Danny Guthrie and Hal Robson-Kanu are likely to miss Saturday's trip to Doncaster Rovers.

Both were withdrawn with injury during the 2-0 win over Middlesbrough on Tuesday, and yet again it would seem that the Royals' squad depth is set to be tested, for a vital clash at the Keepmoat.

"There will probably be a few changes at the weekend with the injuries that we’ve picked up," said Adkins. "With Danny coming off the other day one would suggest he’s not going to be fit for this game, and Hal Robson-Kanu coming off with a horrible facial injury, that would suggest he’s not going to be fit as well."

Doncaster will be boosted with the news that midfielder Abdoulaye Meite has seen the red card he received against Millwall rescinded after a successful appeal. They will also have Lucas Neill available after the Australian international extended his loan spell from Watford until the end of the campaign. The defender missed the matches against Ipswich Town, Derby County and Millwall through injury, but could make a return to the fold for Saturday's game.
