Midfielder back from ban

22 April 2014

Leigertwood available

Mikele Leigertwood is back from a one-match ban for tonight's visit of Middlesbrough.

The midfielder picked up a suspension following his two yellow cards in the 1-1 draw with Leicester, and he sat out the defeat at Wigan on Good Friday.

With the Royals having a number of players out injured, Mikele's return is a welcome boost for Nigel Adkins, who said, "We're carrying walking wounded, but so is everyone.

"Mikele has been out for more than a year, unfortunately he got sent off last week, he trained Monday and the more players we have available the better."

Wayne Bridge and Danny Guthrie missed the Wigan game through injury, and are being monitored for Tuesday's match.

In addition, Jordan Obita, Garath McCleary and Danny Williams are among those playing through knocks at the moment, while Jem Karacan is of course out for the season.

Leigertwood is the featured player in tonight's matchday programme - make sure you pick up a copy for £3.
