Outstanding display from centre backMichael Hector was named as the official man of the match after an outstanding display against Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon.
The 22-year-old was deployed in a central midfield role in the first two games of the campaign, but dropped back to play in place of Sean Morrison against the Tractorboys - and was superb throughout.
"I thought Michael Hector was outstanding, as I thought he was in midfield for a couple of games," said Nigel Adkins. "We lost Sean Morrison on Thursday - but I thought we showed good togetherness and that was a real plus."
Club captain Jem Karacan was also full of praise for the Academy product following the game.
"He was magnificent, Anton Ferdinand just said he reminds him of his brother when he was younger! What a compliment that is. But he was brilliant, he did really well last season after coming back from loan at Aberdeen. That's what these young lads are doing - he's jumped from centre midfield to centre back, but he performed so well."
