Preview: Royals v Swansea

1 August 2014

Saturday's clash at Madejski Stadium

Reading vs Swansea
Saturday 2nd August, 3pm
Madejski Stadium
Pre-season Friendly

Royals team news
Hal Robson-Kanu is unavailable after he suffered an injury at Stevenage which will rule him out of the start of the season. The Royals are currently managing injuries to Danny Guthrie and Stephen Kelly, while Garath McCleary, Danny Williams and Jem Karacan are also out.

Swansea team news
The Swans are set to bring a strong side to Madejski Stadium. Youngsters and first-team fringe players are set to play in their friendly with Bournemouth on Friday night, allowing their senior players to take on the Royals this Saturday.

Rory Donnelly is ruled out while Jordi Amat (hamstring), Chico Flores (back), Marvin Emnes (knee cartilage) and Leon Britton (knee) also miss out. Right-back Angel Rangel is included in the squad, however, after the Spaniard recovered from the dead leg which saw him miss the midweek win at Plymouth.

Squad for friendlies with the Cherries and Royals: Gerhard Tremmel, Lukasz Fabianski; Angel Rangel, Dwight Tiendalli, Jazz Richards, Liam Shephard; Ashley Williams, Kyle Bartley, Scott Tancock; Neil Taylor, Stephen Kingsley, Raheem Hanley; Ki Sung-Yueng, Jonjo Shelvey, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Lee Lucas, Josh Sheehan, Henry Jones, Adam King; Nathan Dyer, Wayne Routledge, Jefferson Montero, Alex Bray; Wilfried Bony, Bafetimbi Gomis, Alex Samuel.
