The format of the Barclays U18 Premier League has been altered as a consequence of the increased number of participant Category 1 Clubs (from 22 to 24).

The new format provides a distribution of 12 Clubs within each region, North and South.

The revised format will see each Club playing all those Clubs within the region on a home and away basis.  22 matches will be fixtured between 16 August – 21 February.

Once the regional matches have been played the next phase of the season will be organised. The next phase will be organised on the basis of the standings once the regional league has been concluded.

The allocation will be:

Group A:  Top 4 Clubs from each division to play each other in a 7 game programme

Group B:  Clubs from 5th place to 8th place (inclusive ) to play each other in a 7 game programme

Group C:  Clubs from 9th place to 12th place (inclusive) to play each other in a 7 game programme

Those clubs finishing in the top two places in each group will receive more home matches (4 home matches, 3 away matches). The Club finishing in top place within Group A will be deemed Barclays U18 Premier League Champions.
