Build up to Birmingham with Reading FC Player

12 December 2014

Don't miss a kick on Player or social media

Royals fans can build up to tomorrow’s Championship clash at Birmingham on Reading FC Player and the club’s various social media channels.

Subscribers to Player can listen to live commentary of every first-team match of the season and, prior to Saturday’s kick off, they can hear the thoughts of manager Nigel Adkins and Jordan Obita.

Obita, playing in a central midfield role at the moment, is keen for his side to rediscover the correct balance between defence and attack, while Adkins insists that the squad will head to the West Midlands in confident mood.

On the club’s YouTube channel, viewers can watch a teasers with the pair – though the full interviews are exclusive to Player.

Also on YouTube, Jake Cooper was this week’s subject of the festive feature #FiveChristmasQuestions. The towering centre-back jokingly delves into his relationship with socks, and how he both loves and hates to receive them on December 25th.

Moreover, embedded below, are highlights from last season’s trip to St Andrews. Jobi McAnuff bagged both of Reading’s goals in that encounter as the Royals ran out 2-1 victors.

Brief highlights of every league match are always available to view on YouTube less than 24 hours after the final whistle. Player subscribers frequently benefit from extended action, though – the majority of which include an array of different camera
angles.

Tomorrow’s team news will be confirmed at around 2pm and the first place to know Reading’s starting XI will be on the club’s official Twitter, Facebook and Instagram pages.

Regular updates will be posted on Twitter throughout the afternoon and Facebook users will also be immediately notified of any goals that go in.

After full-time, a Facebook gallery will go live – displaying all of the best snaps from the afternoon. And, at around 6pm, Player will be the first place to see the gaffer dissect the afternoon’s game.

If you cannot make it to Birmingham tomorrow, then the club’s official social media channels are the best place to be to ensure that you don’t miss a kick of the action.
