Free entry at Boreham WoodReading’s U18s face Arsenal in the third round of the FA Youth Cup at Boreham Wood this evening.
Like the senior side, the youngsters do not enter the FA Cup until round three and if they are victorious on Friday night they will host Royston Town in the next round.
David Dodd’s side, who have won three of their last four games in the U18s Premier League, reached the semi-finals of the competition last season.
Victories over Leeds United, Crewe Alexandra, Accrington Stanley and Liverpool set up a two-legged tie with eventual winners Fulham, which the Londoners edged 5-4 on aggregate.
Having drawn 2-2 at the Madejski, the Royals were reduced to 10 men just 30 minutes into the second leg at Craven Cottage, after Dominic Hyam tripped Patrick Roberts inside the area.
Moussa Dembele scored the spot-kick but just after the break Tariqe Fosu converted a penalty of his own to draw Reading level before Jack Stacey then thumped the 10 men ahead.
Dembele levelled matters, however, and the young forward won the contest in the dying seconds when a clearance deflected off him and into the net.
Supporters are welcome to attend the game, which will take place at Boreham Wood’s Meadow Park stadium, and entry is free.
Those not attending the game can watch the full 90 minutes on a live stream, which will be broadcasted on our official YouTube channel.
