Team news: Cox starts

13 December 2014

Jack Stacey named on the bench

The Royals have made just one change to the side that earned a point against Bolton last weekend, as Hal Robson-Kanu misses out on the trip to St Andrew's suffering with a hamstring problem.

Simon Cox starts in Hal's place, while young Jack Stacey is brought into the squad to take Cox's place on the substitutes' bench.

Alex Pearce missed the Royals' last trip on the road due to suspension but 19-year-old Jake Cooper is preferred at the back alongside Michael Hector.

Alongside Robson-Kanu on the injured list are Jem Karacan, Hope Akpan, Anton Ferdinand, Jamie Mackie, Danny Guthrie and Pavel Pogrebnyak.

Birmingham City: Randolph, Caddis, Morrison, Robinson, Grounds, Davis, Gleeson, Gray, Shinnie, Cotterill, Donaldson.
Subs: Doyle, Edgar, Thomas, Novak, Reilly, Zigic, Moussi.

Reading: Federici, Kelly, Gunter (c), Hector, Cooper, Norwood, Williams, Obita, McCleary, Cox, Murray.
Subs: Andersen, Cummings, Pearce, Tshibola, Taylor, Stacey, Blackman.
