Clarke: We have to take the positivesSteve Clarke wants his side to takes the positives from last weekend’s narrow loss to Watford in to the Boxing Day encounter at struggling Brighton & Hove Albion.
Despite dominating for long spells last weekend, the Royals were undone by Almen Abdi’s well-placed strike after the break.
And Clarke believes that he can earn his first victory in charge of Reading tomorrow if they focus on what they did right against the 10-man Hornets.
“We have to take the positives from Saturday and go down to Brighton and make sure we get a result,” the gaffer said.
“In the last couple of years Brighton have been in the play-offs so everyone expects that to happen again, but they've had a lot of changes and the players who took them to the play-offs aren't there anymore.”
“It's a team probably in a bit of transition, so it'll be interesting. They need the points and we need the points, so it'll be a nice Boxing Day battle for us.”
