Grant and Davies join
Reading FC Women have continued their exciting build up to the Women's Super League season by securing two more impressive signings to bolster their squad.
and Nicky Davies
have signed with the Royals - joining an array of glittering new additions including Welsh international Helen Ward
, Alex Keown, Connie Short, Leigh Nicol
as well as Kirsty McGee and Georgie Giddings
Grant arrives in Reading after a 15 year spell with Arsenal, for whom she made over 400 appearances. The centre back has had an incredible playing career picking up 30 trophies along the way - including nine Premier League titles, nine FA Cups, two Super League Titles, nine League Cups and a UEFA Champions League Medal in 2007.
Alongside a great club career, Ciara has also had a fantastic international career making 105 caps for the Republic of Ireland - the first female Irish international player to earn over 100 caps.
General Manger Kelly Chambers said: "Ciara will bring a vast amount of experience to our young squad and we are thrilled to have her as part of our team. Ciara has had a great career to date and bringing her to the club will strengthen our squad. She is one of the most decorated players in the country and is a fantastic defender."
Goalkeeper Davies joins the group from Doncaster Ladies. She is a well respected goalkeeper who has accrued 54 senior international caps for Wales. She was awarded the FA WSL Goalkeeper of the Year in 2012 and has previously played for Liverpool and Chelsea.
