The Royals are pleased to announce that the club’s appeal over the dismissal of Kaspars Gorkss against Queens Park Rangers last weekend has been upheld.
The decision was confirmed on Tuesday afternoon – meaning the defender will no longer have to serve a four match ban. The Latvian international will now be eligible for our fixtures with Blackburn, Yeovil, Brighton and Leeds.
An FA Statement read: “Following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing today, Reading’s claim of wrongful dismissal regarding Kaspars Gorkss was upheld. Gorkss was dismissed for serious foul play during the game against Queens Park Rangers on 16th February 2014. His standard suspension has, therefore, been withdrawn with immediate effect."
