Pearce on rebuilding momentum

Defender Alex Pearce is predicting a tough game on Saturday afternoon, as the survival and promotion aspirations of Yeovil Town and the Royals clash at Madejski Stadium.

The Academy graduate underlined that Nigel Adkins men will be going into the game with a positive attitude, as they strive to bounce back from last Saturday's narrow defeat to Blackburn Rovers.

"We know it's going to be a tough game. They're fighting for their lives down there, and we're fighting for promotion," he said.

"It's going to be a really tough game, but we're at home so we'll be looking to go into it with a positive mindset and get a good result.

"We've looked at the Blackburn game during the week, and there were some good things to take from the game. We got a lot of crosses into the box, we did create some chances but couldn't get that final breakthrough.

"And fair play to Blackburn, they did well. We've just got to keep going, and get the momentum going on our side once again."

Pearce also hailed the spirit and quality that the Royals possess in the camp, adding, "We have got a lot of quality within the squad and the team spirit is fantastic - it always has been since I've been here.

"We've got some top strikers in the team and top players who can score a lot of goals, and we'll be looking to create as many chances as possible and try and supply the boys with those opportunities.

"If we can just get back on track this weekend - a good home win against a tough team will be a fantastic result."
