Pre Match Fun!

18 February 2014

My Town, My Club

There was a terrific turnout for Monday evening's under 21s clash with Arsenal, and fans enjoyed plenty of pre-match activities before watching the Royals defeat the Gunners 2-1.

First team stars Adam Federici, Jake Taylor, Garath McCleary and Chris Gunter came to the Megastore for a signing session - and were joined by Sir John Madejski to meet and greet plenty of fans both young and old.

There was a mischievous smile from one young lady, who amused Garath by asking him to sign a picture she'd draw especially of him....wearing a dress!

Our Fun Zone was in full swing inside the concourses, with a speed cage, game frame, football tennis and freestyler Matt Minnis on hand to entertain the crowds.

Parking and entry to the game was of course free, with a crowd of just under 3,000 seeing Aaron Tshibola and Craig Tanner steer Martin Kuhl's youngsters to victory.

There's a full Facebook gallery of the pre-match entertainment here  so take a look to see if you were snapped by our official photographer!

Earlier in the day, captain Jobi McAnuff also paid a special visit to meet a group of competition winners taking part in a special Stadium Tour. They were previous winners of our 'Matchday Moment' photo competition, and got the chance to pose questions to the Reading skipper inside the home changing room!
